King Release Debut EP “The Story”

Published on March 9th, 2011

L.A. trio King have released their debut EP entitled “The Story”, which features three tracks written, performed and produced exclusively by themselves.  King’s sound is soulful and full of melody and intricate harmonies. Their lyrics are meaningful and honest while their production is an organic mixture reminiscent of Stevie Wonder, The Foreign Exchange, and even traces of Minnie Riperton.

I came across the multi-talented ladies via twitter, like many when Phonte of The Foreign Exchange, The Roots drummer, Quest Love, Erykah Badu and more gave their approval of the group. See what they had to say below.

As a fan of the aforementioned, I was curious and when I visited Youtube and watched “The Story” video, I instantly feel in love with the ladies unique sound and creativity. How in the world did they handmake this video? It’s amazing.

The group is comprised of twin sisters Paris and Amber Strother and Anita Bias. Paris and Anita met by chance in Boston, then again in L.A. and upon Amber’s first visit, the trio instantly had an undeniable chemistry, thus King was born.

I am Jessie Spano excited about this EP and what the future holds for this group of amazingly talented women, who are a breath of fresh air to the music industry. Please support good music and buy these ladies EP.

Find “The Story” on iTunes and Amazon for only $2.97! That’s less than a gallon of gas guys! Check out the EP’s other two tracks below.
